An updated budget has been revealed for the new O’Hare global terminal and remote concourse project. Located at the heart of O’Hare International Airport’s central terminal complex, plans for the new terminal have been in the works for multiple years after a lengthy design competition. The project is led by the Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) with Studio Gang and SOM working on its design.
A revised design has been revealed for the mixed-use development at 331 S Plymouth Court in The Loop. Located across the street from the Harold Washington Library and north of the intersection with W Van Buren Street, the project will replace part of Pritzker Park. The project is being led by The Community Builders with Studio Gang, DesignBridge, and JAQ working on its design.
Facade replacement work is progressing for Solstice on the Park, located at 1616 E 56th Street in the Hyde Park neighborhood. The 26-story residential tower was completed in 2018, having been designed by Studio Gang and developed by Mac Properties. The building encompasses a 400,000-square-foot area with 250 residential units.
A new YMCA has been announced as the anchor tenant for the mixed-use development at 331 S Plymouth Court in The Loop. The St. Regis Chicago has taken its last major step forward towards completion with the opening of its hotel component at 401 E Wacker Drive in Lakeshore East. Going by the same name as the tower itself and occupying the first 11 lower floors, the hotel and the residences above are being run by St. Regis Hotels and Resorts which is a subsidiary of Marriott. The interiors of the were designed by Gensler with Studio Gang and bKL Architecture working on the overall tower developed by Magellan Development Group.
