Committee On Design Reviews 2033 N Kingsbury Avenue In Lincoln Park

Updated details have been reviewed by the Committee on Design for the mixed-use development at 2033 N Kingsbury Avenue in Lincoln Park. Originally proposed late last year and revised earlier this summer, the new structure will replace a vacant lot adjacent to the future home of Lincoln Yards. Similar to the megadevelopment and another nearby proposal at 1840 N Marcey Street, Sterling Bay is behind this project which is being designed by local firm Pappageorge Haymes.

1203 N California Avenue Now Topped Out in Humboldt Park

Since our previous coverage in May, the nine-story structure at 1203 N California Avenue in Humboldt Park has reached its full height. The 83,000-square-foot mixed-use building stands where an empty lot used to be, opposite the Humboldt Park grounds. The project is led by the Hispanic Housing Development Corporation, with architectural design by Pappageorge Haymes. The plan includes 2,500 square feet of retail space on the ground level and 64 affordable housing units on the upper floors.

1400 S Wabash Finalizes Park and Exterior Construction in South Loop

Final landscaping and metalwork are in progress at 1400 S Wabash Avenue. The 30-story, 350-foot tower, developed by Lendlease, will provide 299 rental units and ground-floor retail space to the South Loop neighborhood.

Details Revealed For Residential Development At 1700 S Wabash Avenue In Near South Side

Details have been revealed for the residential development at 1700 S Wabash Avenue in the Near South Side. Located just north of the intersection with E 18th Street and bound by CTA tracks to the west, the slim proposal will replace a vacant lot near the lakefront. The team at CMK Development is behind the project and are no strangers to the area with multiple South Loop properties, they’re joined by Pappageorge Haymes Partners as the designer.

Updated Plans Revealed For Mixed-Use Development Near Lincoln Yards

Updated plans have been revealed for the mixed-use development at 2033 N Kingsbury Avenue in Lincoln Park. Located near the intersection with N Clybourn Avenue and fronting the northern end of the Lincoln Yards megadevelopment, plans for the project were originally revealed last year and have received a substantial redesign. Also being led by Sterling Bay, the team behind Lincoln Yards brought in local firm Pappageorge Haymes to work on its design which will help kickstart some large changes in the area.

Progress continues on a mixed-use development at 1203 N California Avenue in Humboldt Park, as structural work reaches the halfway point. Situated on the northeast corner with W Division Street, the project replaces a vacant lot opposite the neighborhood’s namesake park. The initiative is being spearheaded by the Hispanic Housing Development Corporation, with Pappageorge Haymes taking on the design responsibilities. A Final Look at “The 808 Cleveland” in Near North Side

Today, YIMBY takes a look at the newly completed mixed-use high rise at 808 N Cleveland Avenue in Near North Side. Dubbed “The 808 Cleveland,” the 22-story building offers 28,000 square feet of retail and office space along with 200 apartments that are leased and managed by Common. DAC Developments is behind this project, which spans a total of 281,256 square feet and had a development cost of $105 million, according to their website.

The mixed-use tower, whose headline name is 1400 Wabash, will bring 299 rental units and ground-floor retail space to the South Loop neighborhood.

Platform 4611 Completes Construction in Uptown

A nine-story development known as “Platform 4611” has completed construction at 4611 N Broadway in Uptown. The 103-foot mixed-use building was co-developed between The John Buck Company and Free Market Ventures, yielding 200 new apartments and 12,000 square feet of ground-level retail space.

Facade Finishes Up at 1400 S Wabash Avenue in South Loop

Final cladding is wrapping up for a new 30-story apartment building at 1400 S Wabash Avenue in South Loop. CMK Companies, the developer behind the project, has announced that the tower has reached its full height of 350 feet, bringing 350 new residences to the area.
