Renovation Work Progresses for 10 and 120 S Riverside Plaza in West Loop Gate

In West Loop Gate, two office buildings located at 10 and 120 S Riverside Plaza continue to undergo renovations as part of a larger repositioning project. These two structures, each rising 21 stories, collectively offer 1.4 million square feet of space with 37,000-square-foot floor plates. With SOM as the original architect behind both structures, 10 S Riverside Plaza was constructed in 1965, while 120 S Riverside Plaza was completed in 1967.

The construction of 333 North Water Street in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward has reached its full height. This mixed-use building, developed by Hines, will be the tallest in the neighborhood at 342 feet and 31 floors, encompassing a total area of 374,000 square feet.

Renovation work is progressing for 10 and 120 S Riverside Plaza, two adjacent office buildings located along the west bank of the Chicago River in West Loop Gate. These two 21-story structures encompass a total of 1.4 million square feet and offer 37,000-square-foot floor plates. With both buildings originally designed by SOM, 10 S Riverside Plaza was constructed in 1965, while 120 S Riverside Plaza was completed in 1967.

The 60-story Salesforce Tower is now receiving its finishing touches at 333 W Wolf Point Plaza in River North. The mixed-use, primarily office tower is a collaboration between Hines and longtime landowner, the Joseph P. Kennedy Family, marking the completion of the three-tower Wolf Point masterplan. With its 850-foot stature, the tower makes a bold statement on the northwest corner of Chicago’s skyline, and is prominently visible when approaching from the northwest along the Kennedy Expressway.

The new illuminated signage can be seen atop Chicago’s Salesforce Tower, a 60-story mixed-use skyscraper located at 333 W Wolf Point Plaza in River North. Standing at a height of 850 feet, the tower makes a substantial appearance on the northwest corner of the skyline, particularly when viewed from the southeast along the Kennedy Expressway.

Chicago YIMBY’s 2022 year-end countdown comes to a close with the city’s current tallest project Salesforce Tower in River North. Located at the confluence of the Chicago River on the famed Wolf Point just west of N Orleans Street, the tower ranked third in last year’s countdown after having started construction during the pandemic in August 2020. Developer Hines partnered with the longtime landowner Joseph P. Kennedy Family on the tower designed by Pelli Clarke Pelli, the firm of the late Argentine-born architect Cesar Pelli.

The 850-foot-tall, office-oriented skyscraper by Hines is approaching its anticipated 2023 completion, and already stands out as a cornerstone of the expanding northwest skyline. Featuring a neomodernist design by Pelli Clarke & Partners, the tower is outfitted with a tapered setback massing and a predominantly glass facade.

Crane Removed from Salesforce Tower Chicago at 333 Wolf Point Plaza in River North

Now standing its final height of 850 feet, the 60-story Salesforce Tower in River North has now removed its tower crane. Well on track to reach completion by next year, this glassy skyscraper at 333 Wolf Point Plaza will be the city’s 17th tallest skyscraper. It will also mark the final installment in a three-part megadevelopment by Hines known as Wolf Point. Located at the confluence of the Chicago River, this scheme also includes a 500-foot apartment tower known as Wolf Point West, as well as a 679-foot apartment tower dubbed Wolf Point East.
